What is a risk assessment?
A risk assessment is simply a careful examination of the workplace, identifying what could cause harm to us and others.
We then make a risk evaluation of whether the controls and precautions we and you have in place are adequate.
Five steps together
Step 1: Identify the hazards
Step 2: Decide who might be harmed and how
Step 3: Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions/controls
Step 4: Implement the controls and record our findings and actions
Step 5: Review our assessments regularly or when there is a significant change in the risk
